Omni Reach – Release Note – 04/07/2024

1. Introduction

The document communicates the new features and changes in OMNI Reach release.

2. About the Release

Changes made include:

2.1 The Inactivity Auto-Resolve Campaign setting can be set to less than a full day (830)

2.2 Bug: Exclude non-valid characters from email addresses (828)

Email addresses ending with certain illegal characters (<, >, ‘,’, -) will have them removed prior to sending the email.

2.3 HTML Library responses will now show the WYSIWYG editor for webchat as well as email (831)

The HTML WYSIWYH editor is now displayed.

2.4 Bug: Email Domains are now case insensitive (838)

We track instances of emails with no domain and no production emails have not been delivered.

2.5 HTML is stripped from transcript reports (833)

This includes all transcript reports, including those SFTPed, downloaded and send to customers.

The change to the different reports are:

SFTP transcripts and downloadable transcripts – Email already has HTML tags stripped, now webchat will also be stripped

Customer Transcripts – Both email and webchat will now have HTML tags stripped

Every attempt is made to deal with invalid HTML and to retain any text that forms part of a visible message – however the tradeoff is that there will be situations where HTML or HTML like text will make it through the filter.

2.6 Tagging ‘Out of Hours’ and sending the message are now split (834)

Settings -> Campaign Management -> Out of Hours tab has an option to disable sending a message when a customer asks for a handoff to an agent outside of defined opening hours for the campaign.

The chat will still be tagged with ‘Out of Hours’ even if the message is not sent.

2.7 UI Change: Out of Hours message has moved to Settings -> Campaign Management (834)

The message has been moved from Settings -> Customer Identification to Settings -> Campaign Management -> ‘Out of Hours’ tab.

2.8 UI Change: Reorganised the settings pages for Settings -> Campaign Management (834)

  • The ‘Surveys’ tab was moved closer to the end
  • The ‘Actions’ tab has been renamed ‘Utility’ and moved to the end
  • The ‘Settings’ tab has been renamed ‘Email Settings’
